3 days tours from marrakech to merzouga Itinerary

Experience an exciting tour across eastern Morocco in a comfortable, air-conditioned minibus. Our guide will pick you up from your Marrakech hotel at 7:15 a.m. and take you to the departure point. We will travel over the Atlas Mountains and arrive at the historic Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou.

The Kasbah, featuring six fortified structures within a walled city, feels like a step back in time to the era of gladiators, desert nomads, and ancient trading markets. After a guided tour, we will have lunch in Ait Ben Haddou.

Next, we will visit Ouarzazate, known for its stunning scenery and as a filming location for movies like The Mummy and Lawrence of Arabia. Often called "The Gateway to the Desert," we will take a break at a cafe here before continuing to the Dades Valley.

In the Dades Valley, you can relax at a accommodation with an en-suite bathroom and enjoy a delightful Moroccan dinner.

We will go for the Todra Gorge the next morning after a full breakfast at our accommodation. Amazingly beautiful, the Todra Gorge begs the question of why it hasn't been named a wonder of the world. Next day, after lunch, we'll go to Merzouga.
Staying Overnight in a Desert Camp

Merzouga is really in the middle of the desert. We will mount our camels here, ride over the Erg Chebbi Dunes, and end up at the Berber desert camp to spend the night. You will have breakfast in the morning and an evening dinner in the desert camp before we finish our last day's drive back to Marrakesh.

Our camels will be transported back to Merzouga and from there it is another trip back through the Draa Valley, where we will see the sights at Rissani. Here the Moroccan architecture in the palaces, gateways and temples is worthy of many photographic opportunities.

Our final leg of this tour sees us moving through Nqob then Tamnougalt before reaching the familiar city of Ouarzazate once more. Lunch can be taken at any café before we head back through the Atlas Mountains and back into Marrakech for our journey’s end. Arrival in Marrakech is expected around 8 p.m.
