Your Fes to Marrakech desert excursion begins directly after breakfast at your hotel or riad. Then we go into the enthralling Moroccan desert. Our first destination is Ifrane, which is often referred to as the "Switzerland of Morocco."

Traveling further, we cross the Middle Atlas Mountains and stop among the cedar trees to see the amazing Barbary macaques, a rare kind of native monkey.

In the late afternoon, Merzouga welcomes us, and the magical camel trip begins. Every tourist boards a camel and heads for a posh desert resort tucked away among Erg Chebbi's expansive dunes. We will pull over en route to take in the stunning sunset from a high dune. Savor a night to remember, soaking up the native culture of the Sahara Desert. We strongly advise you to witness the peaceful dawn early today. You may decide which way to go back to Merzouga town—a comfy 4x4 vehicle trip or a camel trek—after a filling breakfast at your tent.

Travel picturesquely to Boumalne Dades, passing Rissani, Erfoud, and the stunning Todgha Gorges. Ensure your visit occurs on a Tuesday, Thursday, or Sunday. In this scenario, you will see a typical market in Rissani, which will give you a glimpse of the lively southern Moroccan culture. Take a leisurely stroll beside the Todra River and beneath the majestic Todgha Gorge in Tinghir.

Arrive at Boumalne Dades in the afternoon. Before you settle into your accommodations, enjoy a leisurely drive through the Dades Valley to a location that offers breathtaking views of the remarkable rock formations known as the "monkey fingers." You will spend your evening at a cozy hotel in the center of the Dades Valley.

Our 3-day desert excursion from Fez to Marrakech comes to an end today. After a delicious breakfast at your hotel, travel to Ait Ben Haddou via Ouarzazate and the charming Valley of Roses. There are several lovely Berber settlements along this path.

One may visit the Atlas Studio in Ouarzazate. At this facility, there are still intact sets and decorations from several films. You might also decide to continue after taking some priceless pictures just outside.

Just fifteen kilometers from Ouarzazate is the renowned Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, which is well-known for its parts in many classic movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones as Yunkai.

After seeing the Kasbah and having a filling lunch, you travel to Marrakech over the magnificent High Atlas Mountains and the 2260-meter-tall Tizi n'Tichka pass. During this picturesque journey, take in the stunning scenery that opens up in front of you. Your arrival in Marrakech, expected in the late afternoon, will round off your day.
